Experiencing The Magic At SkyPark's Santa's Village + Our Festive Lake Arrowhead Getaway

If you're sleeping on SkyPark's Santa's Village, it's time to wake up.

For those of you that don't know, Santa's Village is a theme park in Lake Arrowhead, California and I'm convinced that it's the most festive place on earth. It might even be the North Pole in disguise! The moment I walked through the doors, I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning again. Old-fashioned holiday tunes were playing, I was greeted by an elf and a reindeer and the consistent uproarious aesthetic instantly put every other theme park to shame.

You can grab some fresh pastries at a life-size gingerbread house. Shoot some arrows at their archery range. Go ice skating while Frank Sinatra lightly plays in the background. Go zip lining in the evergreen forest. The possibilities are truly endless! And if you get hungry, grab some "reindeer food" (aka fried veggies) at St Nick's Patio and Grille and then finish it off with some warm hot cocoa (they have dairy free options too!) at Kringle's Coffee Shop.

What really stood out to me is that there's nothing capitalistic or stress-inducing about the park. Theme parks can be extremely overwhelming. You're waiting in lines for hours just to go on a ride for 45 seconds, you pay top dollar for mediocre food, all while dealing with not-so-great customer service and even angrier guests. But it's not like that at Santa's Village. The entire experience is relaxing and honestly filled with Christmas cheer.

Every encounter I had was genuine and heartwarming, every bite of food I had was delicious and because most of the activities are more nature-based, each and every moment is filled with adventure instead of forced adrenaline. I also should mention because you're in the middle of a forest on a mountain, the air is fresher than ever!

But that's enough from me. Because pictures say so much more than words, check out some of the stunning sights I witnessed at the park:

I know what you're thinking, "THIS IS THE CUTEST PLACE I'VE EVER SEEN AND I NEED TO GO ASAP." (At least that's what I was thinking when I discovered it.) Lake Arrowhead is only a 1-2 hour drive from the LA / OC area, so if you're local, you have to make the drive. And if you're not, definitely keep Santa's Village in mind for future SoCal trips! Check out their website here to get more information.

While we made the trip up to Lake Arrowhead for Santa's Village, we stayed overnight to make the most of the experience. Our AirBnB was an adorable lil cabin in Green Valley Lake and oh my gosh, pictures don't do it justice. Here's some of the details from our stay:

It was an experience I'll never forget. The fireplace was on through the night as we watched Elf, played board games and cuddled up while the cotton candy sunset shined through the window.

I can't wait to be back next year! #VisitLakeArrowhead #MakingSpiritsBright

  1. This is a great place organize an event; they have great staff and great events put on here! I had nothing but great times and great conversations at Chicago venues. They served slider and shrimp cakes as appetizers with chicken skewers, and eggrolls that had veggies on the inside and some kind of creamy fruit sauce on top.
