#OOTD - Vulnerability & Mystery

The fine line between vulnerability and mystery - something I've been trying to achieve my entire life. They are often opposites, just like the colors black and white. Yet they carry each other within one another. To be an artist, you must be vulnerable. You have to shed pieces of your soul into every piece of art. However, because art is interpreted in an infinite amount of ways, that vulnerability is always uncertain. It has mystery to it because no one knows for sure what your art means. No one knows for certain who you are.

Today's #ootd includes aspects of black and white, vulnerability and mystery, and New York and LA. Opposites often compliment each other quite well.

I've had In-N-Out literally so many times since I've moved to California, I've lost count. Although the menu is simplistic, I find myself craving it all the time. It's within walkable distance from my apartment and the veggie is so good. It's just onion, tomato, lettuce and their special sauce on a bun...so why am I so obsessed with it? Whatever, it's bae.

I took a break from eyeliner for a while because I was having a hard time perfecting it and fitting it in with my look. I've been doing winged eyeliner for the past few days, and not wearing any eyeliner anywhere else but the wings. I've been also wearing white eyeshadow to make it stand out more. I've really been liking it. It's taken me a while to get comfortable with makeup. Also: FRECKLES.

I got this skirt from Alethea Spectacle, one of my favorite Los Angeles stores. I am OBSESSED. The quality is beyond 10/10. This designer of this skirt has done designs for Topshop and Zara, but finally is designing under her own name. This skirt is one of a kind (literally, there's only 6 out there) and I know it will be a staple in my closet.
